Haim Maor
Haim Maor was born in Jaffa, Israel in 1951. He began studying art a
young age and has continued to do so throughout his life. Dr. Maor is
currently a professor at the Arts department in the Humanities
Faculty at Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheva.
Dr. Maor was recognized in 1996, during his position as the Head Master of the College of Visual Arts in Beer Sheva, as a Ph.D. based on his articles, artistic activities and involvement in the field. He has contributed to numerous art exhibitions as well as served as the curator for exhibitions for various artists. Dr. Maor was a member of the Israeli Artists and Writers delegation to "40 Years to the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising." The delegation visited concentration and death campsites as well as the remnants of Jewish towns in Poland. Maor traveled again to Poland to the roots of his family's origins in 2007 and had his recent works shown at the Jewish Center in the town of Oswiecim (Auschwitz), Poland.
