Monument to Holocaust Survivors, Carmiel, Galilee, Israel
Niki Imber, Sculptor. b. 1920, Vienna. Immigrated 1978. Studied: 1935-38 Academy, Vienna. He came to Israel on "illegal" ship, was caught by British and sent to Mauritius. After the war, lived in Kenya, Venezuela and New York. Statue: "Memorial to Holocaust Survivors" in Carmiel where he lives, erected in 1984.
