Why Remember?
The horror and destruction suffered by the Armenian people present an essential question: Will remembering the past change the course of the future?
The exhibit is more than a remembrance of the Armenian Genocide. It is a warning. By closing our eyes to oppression, we transform ourselves into those we fear and hate. All of us who freely and easily embrace democracy have a responsibility to speak out for those who live under tyranny. Let us not forget that we who enjoy freedom today may not be so fortunate tomorrow.
