The Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies (CHGS) depends on your support to fulfill our mission.

Financial support from friends like you has made it possible for CHGS to:

  • Enlighten audiences through conferences, lectures, film screenings, art exhibitions, concerts, and theatrical performances at the University of Minnesota and throughout the state.
  • Share our expertise on issues concerning the Holocaust and other genocides with universities, news media, and civic organizations.
  • Support secondary-school classroom educators through workshops, curriculum materials, and expert assistance on teaching about the Holocaust and other genocides in their classrooms.
  • Guide undergraduate and graduate student research on the Holocaust, other genocides, and further incidents of mass violence.

Current funding sources simply maintain the programs that we already have in place. Transformational gifts to the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies can provide perpetual funding for special programs that will ensure our future as well as enable us to respond to new opportunities.
