SHMA - Swedish Holocaust Memorial Association
Is a multiethnic, nonpolitical, nonreligious organization.
The Association works against intolerance, xenophobia, racism, antisemitism, nazism and related movements.
The Association works for tolerance and human solidarity through:
- Arranging lectures and seminars about the Holocaust and related topics in schools, libraries, other working sites, study circles and religious associations.
- Arranging exhibitions and publications on related topics
- Documenting and preserving the memories of the Holocaust
- Documenting and preserving the memories of the Holocaust, who are residents of Sweden in various legal litigations procedures
The Association has 1400 members in Sweden, ca 700 of which are themselves Holocaust survivors.
The Association is a member of the Association of Holocaust Organizations, AOH.
